EXTRA NEEDS ART CLASSES Ages 4-8 We now offer an art class designed specifically for children with special needs. Class curriculum is designed to be flexible so that it can meet each students particular needs and includes 2 and 3-D media. Classes are taught by a highly qualified art instructor with experience moving children forward through individualized attention while class size is kept small. Abbien ART THERAPY SERVICES FOR KIDS Working with children who have emotional, fine-motor, behavioral, developmental, sensory, and other needs, our art therapist can design a program that meets your child’s needs!  We develop therapy plans for children with mild to severe autism and learning differences.  Art therapy offers strategies and counseling through creative expression, exploration, and manipulation for children to expose and overcome feeling and issues in a safe, consistent, and structured environment.  It involves using a wide variety of art media including paint, pencil, paper, clay and more to create visual representations of their thoughts and feelings. By creating art, children can more easily and spontaneously access and express what is uppermost in their minds rather than through discussion only.  Services are effective in both private and group sessions and can be set up to meet your needs.
